Colt & the Coyotes
An amazing Worcester bar band needed to elevate their lookWebsite
(WordPress)
The band only had a presence on Facebook and Instagram. I built them a website that integrated Seated to display upcoming shows and link to ticket sales and set up an on-demand merch shop with Bonfire.
Custom mobile-ready landing pages are linked to via QR code to make it easy for fans to tip the band via Venmo and find links to playlists and videos.
Marketing
(Illustration + Video)
I helped create a variety of print and online marketing materials for the band including x-stand banners, tabletop signs, posters, and social-media ready images and videos.
Huēhuecoyōtl
(Illustration)
The band was named Colt & the Coyotes, and one of the lead singers is Guatamalan. I made the connection to a god with a coyote aspect in the Guatamalan pantheon and came up with this illustration. Huēhuecoyōtl is the god of music, dance, and illusion, which was a perfect fit for the band.
He has become the mascot for the band and now regularly appears on the website, social media, marketing materials, and merch.
Logo
(Typographic)
I created a new text-based logo for the band using a font with a modern twist on older, funky styles. The logo has drawn a lot of positive feedback from fans and the music community.
What the band had to say
I’ve collaborated with Amy on various projects, from Audio/Visual works to project management to web and graphic design. In working together, I’ve found her to be timely, creative, hard-working, and not afraid to express her opinions about my design choices, tone, or overall project vision.
She trusts her instincts, and through our time working together, I’ve let myself trust them, too. Amy also brings a DIY ethic and an out-of-the-box set of tools to her experience that I’d have difficulty finding elsewhere. On a more personal note, her worldview is immense, she has a great sense, and she is well-read and FUNKY, which helps in the creative world we both reside in and makes her incredibly easy to work with.
I’m in awe of how many skill sets she brings to the table and could honestly declare that she’d be an asset on any project she associates with.
